Patrick Topping

One camera. One lens. One night that changed everything.

In 2022, a chance introduction led me to meet Patrick Topping.

He was playing his first residency at DC-10 Ibiza, and I happened to be on the island on holiday. I had my camera with me, along with one lens, so I went along to photograph the night.

The images caught their attention.

What started as a spontaneous night with a camera in my bag turned into a working relationship that has continued ever since.

Four years later, we’re still working together.

FROM ONE NIGHT TO FOUR YEARS

Since that first night at DC-10, I’ve continued working with Patrick across some of the biggest moments of his career.

From Ibiza club nights to major international events, the relationship has evolved alongside his own career and the growth of his label and brand, TRICK.

The trust built over those years means I’m not simply turning up to photograph a show.

I understand the moments that matter.

TRICK TAKES TENERIFE

One of the biggest projects has been following Patrick and the TRICK brand to Tenerife for two consecutive years.

Across four days and seven shows, I documented the takeover from start to finish.

Seven performances. Four days. Multiple venues and atmospheres.

It was a completely different challenge every day, requiring the photography to move as quickly as the event itself.

From packed dancefloors to intimate moments away from the stage, the aim was to create a complete visual story of the takeover rather than simply a collection of DJ shots.

FOUR YEARS LATER

The best working relationships often start unexpectedly.

What began in 2022 with a holiday, one camera and one lens has grown into four years of documenting Patrick Topping and TRICK across some of their biggest moments.

That first night at DC-10 wasn't planned.

Everything that came after it was.

One camera. One lens. One night. Four years of trust.
